An unexpectedly hard shot by Patryk Rzentkowski in the 12th minute of play forced Rafverk's goalkeeper Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Franklínsson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rafverk's Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patryk Rzentkowski in the 16th minute of play. Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eldar Geislason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute of the match Báran Laugum got a corner. Rafverk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Augusto Uchiha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jóvin Jósafatsson made a great header on Báran Laugum's corner, it was just that Rafverk's Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson managed to reach the ball for a save. If Carlos Augusto Uchiha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Báran Laugum's Carlos Augusto Uchiha got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Patryk Rzentkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Báran Laugum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 31 minutes of play, Báran Laugum's Patryk Rzentkowski made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Guðbjartur Bergmansson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Báran Laugum's Valter Vilhjálmsson. Valter Vilhjálmsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aðalmundur Bjarnason hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to Báran Laugum getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Geirharður Ævarsson hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Valberg Marvinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Vilhjálmsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guðbjartur Bergmansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Báran Laugum. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Bárður Nikulásson put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Báran Laugum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rafverk:s goal. Eldar Geislason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Carlos Augusto Uchiha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eldar Geislason came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Báran Laugum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eldar Geislason couldn't finish the play. Carlos Augusto Uchiha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Eldar Geislason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Rafverk's Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson got control of the ball when Carlos Augusto Uchiha tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Báran Laugum's Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Augusto Uchiha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carlos Augusto Uchiha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson having to interfere. Jens Marvinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Eldar Geislason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafverk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Carlos Augusto Uchiha scored to the left of an out of position Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson, making the score, 2-4. Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eldar Geislason came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Báran Laugum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eldar Geislason couldn't finish the play.
