Kormákur Margrímsson took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson. Emeryci's supporters rose to their feet, but Hlöðver Orrason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafverk's Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Rafverk from getting a goal against them. Hlöðver Orrason might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hlöðver Orrason ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Max Níelsson made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Bæron Þórðarson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emeryci and the Rafverk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Emeryci got a freekick which was hit by Bæron Þórðarson. Emeryci walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
