The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Báran Laugum's Carlos Augusto Uchiha got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Báran Laugum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiljan Loftsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Jóndór Snæfinnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Uchiha in the 38th minute of play forced Orlof Blönduósi's goalkeeper Sólmundur Reynisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Vilhjálmsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guðfinnur Oddsson in the 42nd minute of play. Guðfinnur Oddsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Valter Vilhjálmsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uriel Garoa during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Valter Vilhjálmsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jóndór Snæfinnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Patryk Rzentkowski sped through Orlof Blönduósi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sólmundur Reynisson. In the 86th minute Patryk Rzentkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sólmundur Reynisson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Orlof Blönduósi's Álfur Davíðsson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Eldar Geislason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Carlos Augusto Uchiha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sólmundur Reynisson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Báran Laugum's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
