A hard shot by Valberg Marvinsson from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Gauti Erlendsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gauti Erlendsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guðbjartur Bergmansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guðbjartur Bergmansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Franklínsson's late challenge caught a Farfa Blönduósi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Franklínsson helped the player get up and apologised. Martin Franklínsson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ástgeir Snæsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson having to interfere. With a little luck, Farfa Blönduósi's Gauti Erlendsson got control of the ball when Sírus Oddmarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Farfa Blönduósi's Gauti Erlendsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Farfa Blönduósi from getting a goal against them. Kjartan Játmundsson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Sírus Oddmarsson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Farfa Blönduósi's Gauti Erlendsson. Gauti Erlendsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guðbjartur Bergmansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Farfa Blönduósi getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Trostan Andrésson hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjartan Játmundsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Franklínsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gauti Erlendsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Franklínsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute, Trostan Andrésson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sírus Oddmarsson in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gauti Erlendsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Farfa Blönduósi's Gauti Erlendsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sírus Oddmarsson in the 64th minute of play. Ástgeir Snæsson kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sírus Oddmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gauti Erlendsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play Farfa Blönduósi's Trostan Andrésson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Trostan Andrésson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Rafverk were awarded a corner. Valberg Marvinsson went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjartan Játmundsson in the 84th minute of play forced Rafverk's goalkeeper Jörundur Sveinbjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sírus Oddmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gauti Erlendsson having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Kjartan Játmundsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farfa Blönduósi and the Rafverk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kjartan Játmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Guðbjartur Bergmansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sírus Oddmarsson struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Gauti Erlendsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafverk. For all the effort they put into the match, the Farfa Blönduósi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rafverk.
