Báran Laugum
Spectators: 9249 (Terracing: 6938, Seating: 2127, VIP seats: 184) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bjarnlaugur Ólason started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Bárður Nikulásson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Báran Laugum and the Soldis Hrísey players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bárður Nikulásson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Hámundur Sólbergsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valter Vilhjálmsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valter Vilhjálmsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hrafn Sindrason in the 8th minute of the match. Jóvin Jósafatsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltasar Hróason read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Loki Fannarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Bjarnlaugur Ólason came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Soldis Hrísey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjarnlaugur Ólason couldn't finish the play. After having played for 16 minutes, Patryk Rzentkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Báran Laugum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patryk Rzentkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltasar Hróason was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Carlos Augusto Uchiha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Augusto Uchiha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Valter Vilhjálmsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hrafn Sindrason in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Patryk Rzentkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Hróason was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Hrafn Sindrason came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Soldis Hrísey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hrafn Sindrason couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Báran Laugum's zone, Hrafn Sindrason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Vilhjálmsson came out of the goal and Hrafn Sindrason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes of play, Soldis Hrísey's Bjarnlaugur Ólason made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valter Vilhjálmsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valter Vilhjálmsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vífill Eiríksson in the 37th minute of play. If Patryk Rzentkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Báran Laugum's Valter Vilhjálmsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjarnlaugur Ólason in the 40th minute of play. Soldis Hrísey's Baltasar Hróason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eldar Geislason in the 44th minute of play. Eldar Geislason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eldar Geislason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valter Vilhjálmsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinrekur Larsson in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Báran Laugum's goalkeeper Valter Vilhjálmsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Vífill Eiríksson took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Valter Vilhjálmsson to make any attempt to save it. Hrafn Sindrason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Vilhjálmsson having to interfere. Patryk Rzentkowski took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baltasar Hróason. Baltasar Hróason dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Eldar Geislason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Báran Laugum's supporters rose to their feet, but Eldar Geislason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Hróason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Soldis Hrísey's Valter Vilhjálmsson threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bjarnlaugur Ólason, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 73 minutes into the match, Báran Laugum's goalkeeper Valter Vilhjálmsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hrafn Sindrason. Valter Vilhjálmsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vífill Eiríksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Eldar Geislason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Hróason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Uchiha in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Báran Laugum booed when Soldis Hrísey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarnlaugur Ólason didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eldar Geislason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Báran Laugum were the better team. Báran Laugum's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
