Spectators: 10901 (Terracing: 8177, Seating: 2507, VIP seats: 217) Garðabæ's Sveinungi Hafsteinsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Uni Gunnarsson from a close distance when the talented Sváfnir Játvarðarson managed to make a qualified save. Garðabæ's players were relieved. Sváfnir Játvarðarson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippus Þorsteinsson got free with Sváfnir Játvarðarson in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sváfnir Játvarðarson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 9th minute of the match. Skallagrimur were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Garðabæ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Þrastar Siggeirsson took the corner. After taking down the ball on Skallagrimur's corner Þrastar Siggeirsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sváfnir Játvarðarson quite easily take care of the ball. Sváfnir Játvarðarson came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Skallagrimur's Filippus Þorsteinsson. But to his dismay, Filippus Þorsteinsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Skallagrimur's Filippus Þorsteinsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sváfnir Játvarðarson. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. A hard shot 19 in the game by Uni Gunnarsson from a close distance when the talented Sváfnir Játvarðarson managed to make a qualified save. Garðabæ's players were relieved. In the 20th minute, Filippus Þorsteinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 24th minute, Skallagrimur's Filippus Þorsteinsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Sváfnir Játvarðarson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 26 minutes into the game, Uni Gunnarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the game, Filippus Þorsteinsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Filippus Þorsteinsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Emil Pilarski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uni Gunnarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uni Gunnarsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Filippus Þorsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sváfnir Játvarðarson was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Uni Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Filippus Þorsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sváfnir Játvarðarson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filippus Þorsteinsson's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Uni Gunnarsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Sváfnir Játvarðarson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filippus Þorsteinsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Garðabæ got a freekick which was hit by Finngeir Hreiðarsson. Sveinungi Hafsteinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 minutes, Filippus Þorsteinsson made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Garðabæ's Sváfnir Játvarðarson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 minutes, Ásgeir Arndórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garðabæ and the Skallagrimur players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Garðabæ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ásgeir Arndórsson hit a great ball. If Tomas Godsk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Skallagrimur's Skúta Vilhjálmsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. Finngeir Hreiðarsson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Garðabæ's Sváfnir Játvarðarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Godsk in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Erasmo Reno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. In the 83rd minute, Cyryl Filanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tumi Gissurarson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Marek Wielopolski made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Skallagrimur's goal looked a bit too open when Sveinungi Hafsteinsson came free, but Marek Wielopolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Skallagrimur's Erasmo Reno in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garðabæ's goalie prevented a goal. Sváfnir Játvarðarson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Godsk in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Skallagrimur were the better team. Skallagrimur's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
