Rafnar Sveinsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pogoń Siedlce's goalie and right to Sævaldur Álfgrímsson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pogoń Siedlce's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 5 minutes into the match, V.V.V - Venlo's goalkeeper Austmar Janusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rúben Baugsson. Jan Bjarkason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 7th minute of the match. Jarl Hafsteinsson struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jan Bjarkason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for V.V.V - Venlo. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind V.V.V - Venlo's goalkeeper Austmar Janusson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 16th minute of play. Eymar Ernirsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Austmar Janusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rúben Baugsson in the 25th minute of play. Jan Bjarkason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 32nd minute of play. Friðþór Bjarmason charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Friðþór Bjarmason the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, one of V.V.V - Venlo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for V.V.V - Venlo. V.V.V - Venlo:s Austmar Janusson showed great skill when he stopped Rúben Baugsson:s penalty. Eymar Ernirsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Siedlce's Skúli Traustason got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jan Bjarkason made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Justin Kluivert sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Halldór Jökulsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched V.V.V - Venlo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
