The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eymar Ernirsson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Garðabæ getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garðabæ's goalkeeper Sváfnir Játvarðarson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Skúli Traustason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pogoń Siedlce's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingileifur Gautsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sváfnir Játvarðarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Níls Játmundsson during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was a little too slow when Skúli Traustason got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-8. Sváfnir Játvarðarson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eymar Ernirsson in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Eymar Ernirsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sváfnir Játvarðarson, passed just outside the right post.
