With a little luck, Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski got control of the ball when Justin Kluivert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Austmar Janusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 9th minute of play. Austmar Janusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uni Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uni Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Austmar Janusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 16th minute of play. Timofey Melnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Skallagrimur's Filippus Þorsteinsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Austmar Janusson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th minute, Justin Kluivert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timofey Melnikov in the 34th minute of play. A hard shot by Engiljón Eilífsson from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Marek Wielopolski's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timofey Melnikov in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match, Jarl Hafsteinsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marek Wielopolski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filippus Þorsteinsson made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Skallagrimur's Uni Gunnarsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Uni Gunnarsson put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Austmar Janusson. Skallagrimur made a substitution. Tomas Godsk replaced Uni Gunnarsson. Skallagrimur made a substitution. Erasmo Reno replaced Filippus Þorsteinsson. In the 66thth minute of the game Jarl Hafsteinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Tomas Godsk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skallagrimur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Godsk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Godsk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austmar Janusson having to interfere. Tomas Godsk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Austmar Janusson made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Timofey Melnikov heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Skallagrimur getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Timofey Melnikov hit a great ball. Skallagrimur's Tomas Godsk came free and shot a quick shot against goal 85 minutes in the game, fortunately Austmar Janusson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Tomas Godsk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Austmar Janusson made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Tomas Godsk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austmar Janusson. V.V.V - Venlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Godsk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After having played for 91 minutes, Jarl Hafsteinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. V.V.V - Venlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarl Hafsteinsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Tomas Godsk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Austmar Janusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Skallagrimur's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
