In the 10th minute, Vigur Arnleifsson made a precise shot to the right of Þór Karelsson. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Kristvin Logason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Þór Karelsson having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Vigur Arnleifsson made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's Þór Karelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Þór Karelsson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lúter Óttarsson sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Kristvin Logason notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's Þór Karelsson. Þór Karelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vignir Sveinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boði Sigþórsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boði Sigþórsson in the 34th minute of play. Þór Karelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vigur Arnleifsson in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sírnir Bergþórsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Sírnir Bergþórsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Þór Karelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marijón Úlfarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Þór Karelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Þór Karelsson made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Vigur Arnleifsson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Árgils Leifsson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's Hrólfur Tryggvason got a free kick in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vigur Arnleifsson got free with Þór Karelsson in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sírnir Bergþórsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Þór Karelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vigur Arnleifsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Þór Karelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Þór Karelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sírnir Bergþórsson in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match FC Barcelona got a corner. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lúter Óttarsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Barcelona's corner Marijón Úlfarsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Þór Karelsson quite easily take care of the ball. The FC Barcelona fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vigur Arnleifsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Vigur Arnleifsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Þór Karelsson was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Lúter Óttarsson took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Þór Karelsson. Þór Karelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Vigur Arnleifsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaukur Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Þorvaldur Hrólfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Þór Karelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vigur Arnleifsson went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After 75 minutes, Vigur Arnleifsson made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's Þór Karelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Þorvaldur Hrólfsson in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vigur Arnleifsson in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Þór Karelsson saved ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ from getting behind. Vigur Arnleifsson scored 14-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Þór Karelsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the FC Barcelona players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
