Skallagrimur's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yngvi Óttarsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jan Bjarkason was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hringur Hallbjörnsson in the 32nd minute of play forced Skallagrimur's goalkeeper Marek Wielopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pogoń Siedlce's supporters rose to their feet, but Rúben Baugsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Wielopolski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filippus Þorsteinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Bjarkason having to interfere. If Timofey Melnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hringur Hallbjörnsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rúben Baugsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marek Wielopolski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Jan Bjarkason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 54th minute of the match. Jan Bjarkason was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Timofey Melnikov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Pogoń Siedlce's Hringur Hallbjörnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Skallagrimur defense, Rúben Baugsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marek Wielopolski. The Skallagrimur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Wielopolski should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rúben Baugsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marek Wielopolski was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After 69 played minutes Pogoń Siedlce got a freekick which was hit by Hringur Hallbjörnsson. In the 73rd minute Hringur Hallbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Wielopolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timofey Melnikov in the 77th minute of play. Skallagrimur were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Pogoń Siedlce's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Þrastar Siggeirsson took the corner. Timofey Melnikov kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Marek Wielopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hringur Hallbjörnsson in the 81st minute of play. Pogoń Siedlce's Rúben Baugsson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rúben Baugsson spun around in front of the goal 87 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Skallagrimur's goal. In the 89th minute, Timofey Melnikov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skallagrimur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Jan Bjarkason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 94th minute of play. Skallagrimur played a much better game than Pogoń Siedlce and deserved their victory. The Pogoń Siedlce players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
