Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) The audience was convinced that Jarl Hafsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kort Gabríelsson was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Jets's goal looked a bit too open when Jarl Hafsteinsson came free, but Kort Gabríelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jets's zone, Engiljón Eilífsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kort Gabríelsson came out of the goal and Engiljón Eilífsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th play minute Jarl Hafsteinsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kort Gabríelsson. 2-0. Jarl Hafsteinsson struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Kort Gabríelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for V.V.V - Venlo. In the 39th match minute, Jets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Margrímur Einarsson to maneuver through the defense. Kort Gabríelsson made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Justin Kluivert sent off a good shot on target. If Halldór Jökulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Jarl Hafsteinsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The V.V.V - Venlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jarl Hafsteinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grímólfur Hamarsson to make the kick off. Kort Gabríelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 53rd minute of play. Jarl Hafsteinsson scored 4-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kort Gabríelsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jets's Kort Gabríelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafnar Sveinsson in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Jets getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Knörr Guðfinnsson hit a great ball. V.V.V - Venlo's Jarl Hafsteinsson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jets's Kort Gabríelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Justin Kluivert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kort Gabríelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of V.V.V - Venlo booed when Jets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Margrímur Einarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halldór Jökulsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kort Gabríelsson. Jets's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Justin Kluivert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Jarl Hafsteinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jets's Kort Gabríelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grímólfur Hamarsson's late challenge caught a V.V.V - Venlo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grímólfur Hamarsson helped the player get up and apologised. Grímólfur Hamarsson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 82nd minute of play forced Jets's goalkeeper Kort Gabríelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kort Gabríelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarl Hafsteinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarl Hafsteinsson scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kort Gabríelsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Jets's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Kluivert came free, but Kort Gabríelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarl Hafsteinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute Jarl Hafsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kort Gabríelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the V.V.V - Venlo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
