The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Snæbjörnsson got free with Þorvar Reynisson in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walter Snæbjörnsson scored 2-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Þorvar Reynisson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Þorvar Reynisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auðbergur Gretarsson in the 12th minute of the match. Walter Snæbjörnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Þorvar Reynisson having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Auðbergur Gretarsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Þorvar Reynisson, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson in the 18th minute of play forced ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's goalkeeper Þorvar Reynisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Task Mývatni's Walter Snæbjörnsson got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes, Bjarnólfur Falgeirsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ and the Task Mývatni players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarnólfur Falgeirsson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Snæbjörnsson got free with Þorvar Reynisson in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Auðbergur Gretarsson in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Þorvar Reynisson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Þorvar Reynisson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Auðbergur Gretarsson scored to the left of an out of position Þorvar Reynisson, making the score, 4-0. Þorvar Reynisson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Harald Steinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnúlfur Níelsson was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's goalkeeper Þorvar Reynisson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Snæbjörnsson. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Þór Karelsson put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd minute, the referee gave Task Mývatni a penalty. Walter Snæbjörnsson looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Þorvar Reynisson. Auðbergur Gretarsson scored 6-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Þorvar Reynisson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Auðbergur Gretarsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Þorvar Reynisson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Snæbjörnsson went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 53rd minute, Walter Snæbjörnsson made a precise shot to the right of Þorvar Reynisson. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. In the 56th minute Auðbergur Gretarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Þorvar Reynisson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjarnólfur Falgeirsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Task Mývatni's Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 74 played minutes ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ got a freekick which was hit by Bjarnólfur Falgeirsson. Auðbergur Gretarsson scored 11-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Þorvar Reynisson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 78 minutes of play, Task Mývatni's Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Þorvar Reynisson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the game, Walter Snæbjörnsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Þorvar Reynisson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steinbjörn Hafsteinsson in the 84th minute of play forced ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's goalkeeper Þorvar Reynisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Þorvar Reynisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auðbergur Gretarsson in the 85th minute of the match. ⓘⓒⓔ ⓑⓐⓑⓨ's Þorvar Reynisson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Snæbjörnsson in the 88th minute of play. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
