Vuk Stojčić was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gornji Stupanj OFK's Koča Zlatanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vuk Stojčić in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Cvijan Cvetičanin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Koča Zlatanović was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Borislav Negovanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Srnić struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Novak Marjanović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gornji Stupanj OFK. Cvijan Cvetičanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Vuk Stojčić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zemun FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vuk Stojčić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vuk Stojčić in the 58th minute of play forced Gornji Stupanj OFK's goalkeeper Koča Zlatanović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gornji Stupanj OFK's Borislav Negovanović got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milojko Jovandić charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milojko Jovandić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vuk Stojčić took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Koča Zlatanović. Koča Zlatanović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Koča Zlatanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cvijan Cvetičanin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Zemun FK's Novak Marjanović got control of the ball when Borislav Negovanović tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Zemun FK's zone, Borislav Negovanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Novak Marjanović came out of the goal and Borislav Negovanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Vuk Stojčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koča Zlatanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borislav Negovanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Novak Marjanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gornji Stupanj OFK's Danilo Otašević suffered a concussion after 93 minutes and had to leave the field. Kirilo Markus's late challenge caught a Gornji Stupanj OFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kirilo Markus helped the player get up and apologised. Kirilo Markus kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
