Želimir Jovičić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Bojić having to interfere. When Buda Babić came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sanad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buda Babić couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sanad's Milisav Despotović got a free kick in the 15th minute. It was beautiful to see Lajkovac OFK's Atanasije Bogdanović in action when he in the 17th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Sanad booed when Lajkovac OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ratibor Kalušević didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes in the game Milisav Despotović got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Buda Babić to strike the kick off in the second half. Želimir Jovičić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vladislav Bojić made a huge save. Želimir Jovičić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute of the match Ratibor Bondžulić shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Goran Milanović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Lajkovac OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Buda Babić came free, but Goran Milanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Lajkovac OFK defense, Buda Babić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Goran Milanović. The Lajkovac OFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Goran Milanović should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Živomir Čolović got free with Vladislav Bojić in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
