Spectators: 6809 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1809, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ignjatije Vilotijević started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ignjatije Vilotijević managed to get in a good position for a shot. Žabalj OFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignjatije Vilotijević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilija Zakić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 7 played minutes Žabalj OFK got a freekick which was hit by Vasilije Đurić. In the 10th minute of the match Dalibor Dobrenov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đorđe Markus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Petar Delibašić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đorđe Markus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ignjatije Vilotijević sped through Trgovište's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilija Zakić. In the 22nd match minute, Trgovište was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mladen Masulović to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Josif Golubović sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Trgovište's Ilija Zakić didn't even have to move. The crowd rose to their feet as Petar Delibašić kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Đorđe Markus. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. Marinko Dabanović's late challenge caught a Trgovište's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marinko Dabanović helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, Žabalj OFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinko Dabanović to maneuver through the defense. Srđan Živadinović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Đorđe Markus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Srđan Živadinović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Đorđe Markus made a huge save. After 35 played minutes Trgovište got a freekick which was hit by Đorđe Popov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignjatije Vilotijević in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilija Zakić saved Trgovište from getting behind. Mladen Masulović charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mladen Masulović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ilija Zakić went to the wrong direction when Josif Golubović was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Trgovište's goal looked a bit too open when Ignjatije Vilotijević came free, but Ilija Zakić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Trgovište's Ilija Zakić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignjatije Vilotijević in the 68th minute of play. Jevtimije Josimov hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Marinko Dabanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Komnen Rađenović hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Ignjatije Vilotijević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Trgovište were victorious despite being under pressure from Žabalj OFK for much of the match.
