After having played for 23 minutes, Petar Delibašić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trgovište's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petar Delibašić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes of play Beograd OFK's Gavra Lipovski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Beograd OFK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gavra Lipovski hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Beograd OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Srđan Živadinović came free, but Jugomir Dabanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jugomir Dabanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đorđe Popov, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jugomir Dabanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petar Delibašić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Srđan Živadinović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Petar Delibašić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jugomir Dabanović was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Mane Bojović charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mane Bojović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Trgovište booed when Beograd OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mane Bojović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Komnen Rađenović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Predrag Nosović shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilija Zakić showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Srđan Živadinović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Branislav Jurenić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beograd OFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Branislav Jurenić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilija Zakić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trgovište's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
