The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Lazar Lalić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novi Sad FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lazar Lalić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jugoslav Jeremić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Ðurica Kažić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novi Sad FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ðurica Kažić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radoje Simić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radoje Simić in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jugoslav Jeremić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ðurica Kažić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Ljuban Vukojičić notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Novi Sad FK's Ćiro Maksimović. Ćiro Maksimović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ljubomir Đoševski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ćiro Maksimović having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ðurica Kažić in the 36th minute of play forced Varvarin OFK's goalkeeper Jugoslav Jeremić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ćiro Maksimović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ljubomir Đoševski's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Radoje Simić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jugoslav Jeremić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jugoslav Jeremić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ðurica Kažić's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 68 played minutes Varvarin OFK got a freekick which was hit by Ljubinko Krčedinac. Radivoj Starčević kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ljubinko Krčedinac during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ljubinko Krčedinac hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jugoslav Jeremić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ðurica Kažić in the 76th minute of the match. When Dragutin Masulović fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novi Sad FK's protests and gave Dragutin Masulović a yellow card for diving instead. Dragutin Masulović hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Jugoslav Jeremić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ðurica Kažić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Varvarin OFK's Jugoslav Jeremić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ðurica Kažić in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Varvarin OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Ðurica Kažić came free, but Jugoslav Jeremić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Ðurica Kažić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jugoslav Jeremić was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ljubomir Đoševski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
