The goalkeeper, Dušan Ševarac, was totally fooled by BG LAVOVI's Milijan Jevremović, who 50 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ristivoj Kanjak to make the kick off. Dušan Ševarac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ljubomir Kamenović, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Novica Gaković managed to get in a good position for a shot. BG LAVOVI's supporters rose to their feet, but Novica Gaković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dušan Ševarac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Velimir Rajić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dušan Ševarac having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Velimir Rajić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BG LAVOVI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Velimir Rajić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BG LAVOVI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
