Zoran Milosavljev made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Desimir Koča sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Male Pijace FK's Zoran Milosavljev got control of the ball when Desimir Koča tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Male Pijace FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vujadin Kendić to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Desimir Koča managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruma's supporters rose to their feet, but Desimir Koča was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoran Milosavljev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Desimir Koča put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zoran Milosavljev. After 32 played minutes Male Pijace FK got a freekick which was hit by Trifun Šćekić. In the 39th minute Milanko Vranković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Milosavljev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Male Pijace FK defense, Desimir Koča kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zoran Milosavljev. The Male Pijace FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zoran Milosavljev should have stopped the shot. Desimir Koča took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zoran Milosavljev. Zoran Milosavljev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Milanko Vranković made the kick off in the second half. Dragutin Čomić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. In the 93rd minute Milanko Vranković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Milosavljev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruma's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
