The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Slaviša Lalović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rajko Joksović's late challenge caught a Obrež's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With his leg Vuk Tabaković managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Žarkovo's Srđa Đalac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Žarkovo's zone, Slaviša Lalović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Strahinja Peličić came out of the goal and Slaviša Lalović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dane Bećirović, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Slaviša Lalović took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Strahinja Peličić. Strahinja Peličić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 40thth minute of the game Bogić Kraljević who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obrež's Vuk Tabaković was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Slaviša Lalović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Žarkovo's Srđa Đalac got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Srđa Đalac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vuk Tabaković was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Bogić Kraljević struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Vuk Tabaković didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Žarkovo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogić Kraljević in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vuk Tabaković prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogić Kraljević scored 3-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vuk Tabaković, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Bogić Kraljević managed to get in a good position for a shot. Žarkovo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogić Kraljević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vuk Tabaković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dušan Jovanović kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Bogić Kraljević struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Vuk Tabaković didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Žarkovo. Bogić Kraljević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vuk Tabaković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Srđa Đalac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogić Kraljević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Vuk Tabaković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
