The player immediately received a yellow card. Ljubinko Terzić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ðurđe Brajović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Mane Matejić took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Goran Križmanić. Leskovac's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Marko Sokolov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Žabalj OFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marko Sokolov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 played minutes Žabalj OFK got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Kostić. 24 minutes into the match, Leskovac's Stanoje Gligić broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Leskovac's Ljubinko Terzić in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Predrag Ratković to make the kick off. When Isak Grnčarski came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Leskovac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Grnčarski couldn't finish the play. Marko Sokolov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goran Križmanić having to interfere. If Marko Sokolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đorđe Baša hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ljubinko Terzić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ðurđe Brajović having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play Leskovac's Đorđe Baša was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Žabalj OFK booed when Leskovac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đorđe Baša didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goran Križmanić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marko Sokolov in the 76th minute. Predrag Ratković struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Goran Križmanić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Žabalj OFK. Isak Grnčarski scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ðurđe Brajović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th match minute, Leskovac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevan Nikolić to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Predrag Ratković in the 89th minute of play forced Leskovac's goalkeeper Goran Križmanić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
