After having played for 28 minutes, Danilo Vujičić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerovac FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Vujičić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vasilije Tomašev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donji Tavankut's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasilije Tomašev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksa Andrejević breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danilo Vujičić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Donji Tavankut getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ignjatije Gligorijević hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vasilije Tomašev to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilija Muskinja got free with Nikola Blagojević in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Dojčin Martać hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikola Blagojević made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ilija Muskinja sent off a good shot on target. Vasilije Tomašev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aleksa Andrejević read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Cerovac FK. Dojčin Martać stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nikola Blagojević. 1-2. Donji Tavankut's Vasilije Tomašev got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
