If Dragić Vulinović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bački Palanka's Damir Torbica got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Šako Đurić made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Stanko Pokimica sent off a good shot on target. Dmitar Vulović struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Šako Đurić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kuršumlijska Banja FK. After 28 minutes, Tatomir Muslin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bački Palanka and the Kuršumlijska Banja FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damir Torbica made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kuršumlijska Banja FK's zone, Damir Torbica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joksim Todić came out of the goal and Damir Torbica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joksim Todić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dragić Vulinović in the 57th minute. If Stanko Pokimica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Bački Palanka's Tihomir Trninić got a free kick in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dmitar Vulović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kuršumlijska Banja FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Dmitar Vulović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Šako Đurić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Milorad Puzović was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kuršumlijska Banja FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bački Palanka the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damir Torbica couldn't finish the play. The Bački Palanka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bački Palanka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
