Toma Smajević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marinko Jemović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, manchester united's Toma Smajević made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marinko Jemović was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Bela Palanka FK's Slađan Beljović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ljubinko Sinđelić. Ljubinko Sinđelić yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 36th minute Toma Smajević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marinko Jemović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Jagoš Aleksov put in a rough tackle. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for manchester united. Nemanja Doroslovac stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marinko Jemović. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
