Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Makarije Ikić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobrica Šišić in the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes FK Mamuti Kikinda got a freekick which was hit by Milija Koča. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ristivoj Mirčević got free with Makarije Ikić in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Makarije Ikić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivica Gavarić in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Ivica Gavarić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, FK Mamuti Kikinda's goalkeeper Makarije Ikić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ristivoj Mirčević. If Ristivoj Mirčević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ristivoj Mirčević to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes FK Mamuti Kikinda got a freekick which was hit by Srbobran Gurić. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ristivoj Mirčević managed to get in a good position for a shot. BMD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ristivoj Mirčević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Makarije Ikić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 played minutes FK Mamuti Kikinda got a freekick which was hit by Milija Koča. In the 56thth minute of the game Dario Drinčić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Mamuti Kikinda's Makarije Ikić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ristivoj Mirčević might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Makarije Ikić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ristivoj Mirčević ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Mamuti Kikinda's goalkeeper Makarije Ikić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BMD were furious when Jordan Ivezic was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jordan Ivezic kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in BMD's zone, Mihailo Tomić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Srđan Vlahović came out of the goal and Mihailo Tomić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radislav Joksimović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Srđan Vlahović having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Milija Koča hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FK Mamuti Kikinda's zone, Dobrica Šišić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Makarije Ikić came out of the goal and Dobrica Šišić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, FK Mamuti Kikinda's goal looked a bit too open when Ristivoj Mirčević came free, but Makarije Ikić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ivica Gavarić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Makarije Ikić was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dobrica Šišić in the 83rd minute of play forced FK Mamuti Kikinda's goalkeeper Makarije Ikić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ristivoj Mirčević came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the BMD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ristivoj Mirčević couldn't finish the play. If Ristivoj Mirčević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ivica Gavarić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
