The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Peđa Ponjavić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peđa Ponjavić struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Najdan Pupalović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Ratnik. After a defensive mix-up in FK Ratnik's zone, Kosta Petrović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radivoje Ljuboja came out of the goal and Kosta Petrović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zbogom gospodo's Ranisav Zafirović got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kosta Petrović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radivoje Ljuboja having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, FK Ratnik's goal looked a bit too open when Ranisav Zafirović came free, but Radivoje Ljuboja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kosta Petrović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radivoje Ljuboja having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, FK Ratnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velibor Tomasević to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Kosta Petrović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radivoje Ljuboja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Zbogom gospodo booed when FK Ratnik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velibor Tomasević didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FK Ratnik's zone, Ranisav Zafirović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radivoje Ljuboja came out of the goal and Ranisav Zafirović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, FK Ratnik's Peđa Ponjavić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Najdan Pupalović. Najdan Pupalović yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Zbogom gospodo's Janko Mihajlović got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, FK Ratnik's Bojan Kekić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Najdan Pupalović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radivoje Ljuboja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ranisav Zafirović's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Peđa Ponjavić made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Ranisav Zafirović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Ratnik's Radivoje Ljuboja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Zbogom gospodo booed when FK Ratnik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velibor Tomasević didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Kosta Petrović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radivoje Ljuboja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ranisav Zafirović in the 67th minute of play. If Ranisav Zafirović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes FK Ratnik got a freekick which was hit by Šćepan Zavišić. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Ranisav Zafirović took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Radivoje Ljuboja to make any attempt to save it. Najdan Pupalović came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Ratnik's Bojan Kekić. But to his dismay, Bojan Kekić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kosta Petrović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radivoje Ljuboja having to interfere.
