In the 5th minute, Radovan Lazić fired a really elegant long shot, but Darko Ivković threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Nebojša Đurovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Darko Ivković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mladen Pejčić during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Borac Zabela getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Mladen Pejčić hit a great ball. Nebojša Đurovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Darko Ivković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DORCOL UNITED's Dragan Smiljanić got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mladen Pejčić kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Darko Ivković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nebojša Đurovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vidoje Đušić kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Nebojša Đurovski fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dejan Radanović might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darko Ivković. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dejan Radanović ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Nebojša Đurovski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Darko Ivković. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. The supporters of Borac Zabela booed when DORCOL UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dejan Radanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Njegovan Tiodorović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Borac Zabela's zone, Nebojša Đurovski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darko Ivković came out of the goal and Nebojša Đurovski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borac Zabela's Darko Ivković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nebojša Đurovski in the 41st minute of play. Njegovan Tiodorović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Jovićević having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nebojša Đurovski to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, DORCOL UNITED's Anđelko Trifković got a free kick in the 54th minute. Borac Zabela's Mladen Pejčić got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veljko Tomanović in the 62nd minute of play forced DORCOL UNITED's goalkeeper Radislav Jovićević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Dragan Smiljanić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darko Ivković was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. DORCOL UNITED's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Njegovan Tiodorović scored to the left of an out of position Radislav Jovićević, making the score, 2-1. Veličko Pančić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Jovićević having to interfere. Radislav Jovićević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Njegovan Tiodorović in the 82nd minute of play. Dejan Radanović hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jovica Popadić's late challenge caught a Borac Zabela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jovica Popadić helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Jovica Popadić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes Borac Zabela got a freekick which was hit by Vidoje Đušić. When Mladen Pejčić was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. In the 94th match minute, Borac Zabela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mladen Pejčić to maneuver through the defense. DORCOL UNITED's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
