Janča Dragojević's late challenge caught a Užice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janča Dragojević helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Užice booed when FK Ikona Beograd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janča Dragojević didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Ostoja Alivodić sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Svetozar Mijović skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Rnić in the 18th minute of play forced Užice's goalkeeper Vladimir Mojsilović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FK Ikona Beograd's Gojko Jovović got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Svetozar Mijović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dojčin Tasić, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Nikola Rnić struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Vladimir Mojsilović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Ikona Beograd. Vladimir Mojsilović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gojko Jovović in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, FK Ikona Beograd's goal looked a bit too open when Dojčin Tasić came free, but Svetozar Mijović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikola Rnić to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gojko Jovović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Mojsilović was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 57th minute, Nikola Rnić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dojčin Tasić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nedeljko Joksimović kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Svetozar Mijović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dojčin Tasić in the 62nd minute of play. Dojčin Tasić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FK Ikona Beograd's Nikola Rnić got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the FK Ikona Beograd defense, Jakov Živković kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svetozar Mijović. The FK Ikona Beograd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svetozar Mijović should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Užice getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Lepomir Ćesarević hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Novica Dragnić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janča Dragojević got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Gojko Jovović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimir Mojsilović. Užice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gojko Jovović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK Ikona Beograd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Užice had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
