Slađan Višnjić acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Miladin Brđanin. In the 34th minute Nikola Rnić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slađan Višnjić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FK Ikona Beograd's Gojko Jovović fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 40th minute Nikola Rnić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slađan Višnjić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Gojko Jovović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

FK Ikona Beograd's Gojko Jovović got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Cibukovac's Slađan Višnjić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gojko Jovović in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, FC Cibukovac's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Rnić came free, but Slađan Višnjić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, FC Cibukovac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blagota Ajdarić to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Rnić in the 66th minute of play forced FC Cibukovac's goalkeeper Slađan Višnjić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rade Milutinović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janča Dragojević charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Janča Dragojević the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FK Ikona Beograd getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Janča Dragojević hit a great ball. FC Cibukovac's Jerotije Dragnić couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FK Ikona Beograd. In the 78thth minute of the game Nikola Rnić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cibukovac's Slađan Višnjić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gojko Jovović in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slađan Višnjić saved FC Cibukovac from getting behind. The supporters of FK Ikona Beograd booed when FC Cibukovac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ratibor Petović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slađan Višnjić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gojko Jovović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nikola Rnić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svetozar Mijović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rade Milutinović in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to FK Ikona Beograd getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nedeljko Joksimović hit a great ball. FC Cibukovac were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after FK Ikona Beograd's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jerotije Dragnić took the corner. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Cibukovac players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FK Ikona Beograd.
