The crowd rose to their feet as FC Kanarinac's Dragiša Borić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zlatosav Čolović. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Živorad Višekruna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petronije Kalanović was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. FC Kanarinac's Petronije Kalanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Živorad Višekruna in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Vojko Đurđić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Živorad Stefanov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petronije Kalanović. FC Kanarinac's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Živorad Stefanov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petronije Kalanović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Bačko Novo Selo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Živorad Višekruna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Živorad Višekruna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petronije Kalanović. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 55thth minute of the game Živorad Višekruna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kanarinac's Petronije Kalanović was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vojko Đurđić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bačko Novo Selo's Savo Gunj shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Petronije Kalanović but with some difficulty. Dragiša Borić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Živorad Stefanov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Petronije Kalanović skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kanarinac's zone, Živorad Stefanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petronije Kalanović came out of the goal and Živorad Stefanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, FC Kanarinac's goal looked a bit too open when Živorad Višekruna came free, but Petronije Kalanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Kanarinac booed when Bačko Novo Selo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoš Vidojević didn't get a good kick on the ball.
