The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Milovan Jorgić during the 4th minute. In the 9th minute of the game, Milan Sovrlić landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Igor Soldatović charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Soldatović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Novi Bečej getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Igor Soldatović hit a great ball. When Mihailo Vujaković came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ledenyak Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihailo Vujaković couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes of play, Novi Bečej's Slavoljub Zafirović made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radiša Makajev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dobrica Kajević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Radiša Makajev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 32nd minute of the match Milovan Jorgić completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Milovan Jorgić a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Ledenyak Football Club's Milovan Jorgić got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Novi Bečej's attack was well implemented in the 35th minute, but when Slavoljub Zafirović was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Dobrica Kajević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novi Bečej's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dobrica Kajević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ledenyak Football Club's Lazar Vuletić got a free kick in the 46th minute. Radiša Makajev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Slavoljub Zafirović went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Slavoljub Zafirović to make the kick off. Dobrica Kajević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radiša Makajev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slavoljub Zafirović in the 59th minute of play forced Ledenyak Football Club's goalkeeper Radiša Makajev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Novi Bečej booed when Ledenyak Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihailo Vujaković didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes in the game, Slavoljub Zafirović fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Radiša Makajev having to interfere. Dobrica Kajević could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Radiša Makajev made a huge save. If Slavoljub Zafirović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ledenyak Football Club's zone, Slavoljub Zafirović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radiša Makajev came out of the goal and Slavoljub Zafirović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Lazar Vuletić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Novi Bečej's Dobrica Kajević got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Slavoljub Zafirović put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Radiša Makajev. After a defensive mix-up in Novi Bečej's zone, Mihailo Vujaković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vedran Zajić came out of the goal and Mihailo Vujaković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
