Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stojan Višelavski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Vedran Teodorović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute Uglješa Bekan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vedran Teodorović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vedran Teodorović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uglješa Bekan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of Subotište booed when Sombor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rajko Đinđić didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rajko Đinđić got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Sombor. Nikola Ivić kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Vedran Teodorović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stojan Višelavski in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Sombor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uglješa Bekan to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Dejan Maričić managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Subotište's Igor Radosavljev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Uglješa Bekan took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vedran Teodorović. Vedran Teodorović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stojan Višelavski in the 28th minute of play forced Subotište's goalkeeper Vedran Teodorović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes Subotište's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Uglješa Bekan who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Uglješa Bekan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Subotište's Vedran Teodorović did a great save. After 29 played minutes Sombor got a freekick which was hit by Stojan Višelavski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uglješa Bekan in the 32nd minute of play forced Subotište's goalkeeper Vedran Teodorović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stojan Višelavski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Subotište! The referee gave Sombor a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Uglješa Bekan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Subotište's Vedran Teodorović. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Sombor's Saša Jakšić got a free kick in the 41st minute. Subotište's Igor Radosavljev got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sombor's Dejan Maričić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Sombor from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Igor Radosavljev made a precise shot to the right of Dejan Maričić. Sombor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half Sombor were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dragan Okuka kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stojan Višelavski got free with Vedran Teodorović in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Radosavljev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dejan Maričić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stojan Višelavski came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vedran Teodorović could save by the left post. After 70 played minutes Sombor got a freekick which was hit by Marinko Tanović. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Ivić in the 71st minute of play forced Sombor's goalkeeper Dejan Maričić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dmitar Šišić charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dmitar Šišić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vedran Teodorović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uglješa Bekan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 78 played minutes Sombor got a freekick which was hit by Uglješa Bekan. Stojan Višelavski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vedran Teodorović firmly grabbed it by the left post. Uglješa Bekan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vedran Teodorović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Sombor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sombor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
