Slaviša Vranjković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, Pirot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boro Čomić to maneuver through the defense. Mladen Levkić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slaviša Vranjković having to interfere. Krstan Ljubinković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mladen Levkić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Slaviša Vranjković having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Krstan Ljubinković's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Slaviša Vranjković was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivo Kisačević was the one to do the kick off. Krstan Ljubinković who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Slaviša Vranjković when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Boško Mandić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Kisačević in the 61st minute of play. Mladen Levkić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slaviša Vranjković having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Krstan Ljubinković recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Slaviša Vranjković. Krstan Ljubinković showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 74 played minutes Pirot got a freekick which was hit by Boro Čomić. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Slaviša Vranjković successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 85thth minute Krstan Ljubinković got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Slaviša Vranjković was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. With his leg Slaviša Vranjković managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Pranjani's Krstan Ljubinković fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mladen Levkić scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Slaviša Vranjković, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Slaviša Vujanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boško Mandić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Pranjani could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirot throughout the match.
