Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pirot's Ivo Kisačević started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Krnješevci's Ranko Čonkić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slaviša Vranjković narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th match minute, Pirot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ognjen Šekularac to maneuver through the defense. Ognjen Vidić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Ivan Kirovski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Njegosav Kaplanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slaviša Vujanović in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Ivo Kisačević ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Njegosav Kaplanović was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Ivan Kirovski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Krnješevci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirot the free kick. Ivan Kirovski kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Njegosav Kaplanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Kisačević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ranko Čonkić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Slaviša Vranjković having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Pirot got a freekick which was hit by Boro Čomić. Ivan Kirovski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Slaviša Vranjković read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Slaviša Vujanović came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pirot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Slaviša Vujanović couldn't finish the play. Krnješevci's Ranko Čonkić got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Slaviša Vranjković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Kirovski in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Laza Tatar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirot and the Krnješevci players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Krnješevci a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ivan Kirovski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pirot's Slaviša Vranjković. 1-1. The supporters of Pirot booed when Krnješevci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Draško Gojković didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Slaviša Vujanović got free with Njegosav Kaplanović in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Pirot's goal looked a bit too open when Ranko Čonkić came free, but Slaviša Vranjković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Ranko Čonkić put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Slaviša Vranjković. When Ivan Kirovski got free in front of the goal in the 91st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Slaviša Vranjković was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Krnješevci's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
