Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sibin Vulić kicked off to start the match. Gligorije Karajičić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milić Medenica in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mitar Ristanović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sibin Vulić in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matija Graovac saved Šabac from getting behind. After 8 played minutes Šabac got a freekick which was hit by Igor Levkić. In the 10th minute Blagoje Panović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitar Ristanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Đorđe Puzović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matija Graovac was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Đorđe Puzović during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Petrovaradin got a freekick which was hit by Đorđe Puzović. Matija Graovac stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đorđe Puzović's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Šabac's Matija Graovac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sibin Vulić in the 27th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Petrovaradin's Matija Graovac threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sibin Vulić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Gligorije Karajičić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Blagoje Panović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Šabac's supporters rose to their feet, but Blagoje Panović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitar Ristanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 37 minutes on the clock, Milivoje Gavrilović commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Matija Graovac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sibin Vulić, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Blagoje Panović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mitar Ristanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The supporters of Petrovaradin booed when Šabac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milić Medenica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matija Graovac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sibin Vulić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Levkić hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute of the match, Blagoje Panović got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mitar Ristanović was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 76 minutes into the match, Petrovaradin's Đorđe Puzović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matija Graovac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Petrovaradin got a freekick which was hit by Stevan Borenović. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Đorđe Puzović in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matija Graovac saved Šabac from getting behind. Slobodan Tanasković kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Petrovaradin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Šabac had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
