Bojan Radisavljević hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Komnen Džodić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stevan Lezajić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prodan Dujaković in the 10th minute of play. Stanko Marinović kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Stanko Marinović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevan Lezajić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Božo Joković managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when North Korea's Mile Kričković fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 17 minutes into the match, North Korea's goal looked a bit too open when Stanko Marinović came free, but Stevan Lezajić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Stanko Marinović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stevan Lezajić. North Korea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanko Marinović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bojan Šorgić hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. North Korea's Mladomir Prodanović got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Manojlo Uzelac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Korea and the Atlético Beograd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Beograd booed when North Korea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manojlo Uzelac didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanko Marinović in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevan Lezajić saved North Korea from getting behind. 29 minutes in the game, Ljuba Radivojević fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Božo Joković having to interfere. Božo Joković showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ljuba Radivojević in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Stanko Marinović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Beograd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Mile Kričković's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Božo Joković firmly grabbed it by the left post. Prodan Dujaković struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Stevan Lezajić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Beograd.

The wind increased when Ljuba Radivojević made the kick off in the second half. Prodan Dujaković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th play minute Prodan Dujaković came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Stevan Lezajić. 0-3. When Želimir Maleš fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Beograd's protests and gave Želimir Maleš a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Želimir Maleš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Atlético Beograd booed when North Korea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manojlo Uzelac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ljuba Radivojević charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ljuba Radivojević the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to North Korea getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ljuba Radivojević hit a great ball. Mile Kričković hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Momir Divljaković kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, North Korea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ljuba Radivojević to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Stanko Marinović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Korea's Stevan Lezajić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Atlético Beograd's Stanko Marinović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stevan Lezajić. Stevan Lezajić yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With splendid footwork Stanko Marinović arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-5 by the left pole in the game's 91st minute. Atlético Beograd played a much better game than North Korea and deserved their victory. The North Korea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
