Ignjatije Tutorić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Miroslav Šimanić made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miroslav Šimanić in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Milovan Šorgić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Bačko Gradište's Stanko Joksović seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stanko Joksović the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bačko Gradište protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stanko Joksović had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 77 played minutes Atlético Beograd got a freekick which was hit by Bojan Šorgić. After 78 played minutes Bačko Gradište got a freekick which was hit by Igor Jašić. After 79 minutes of play, Atlético Beograd's Miroslav Šimanić made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Milovan Šorgić was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute Miroslav Šimanić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milovan Šorgić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Atlético Beograd's goalkeeper Božo Joković had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Živadin Paroški. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignjatije Tutorić in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milovan Šorgić saved Bačko Gradište from getting behind. Bačko Gradište's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
