The audience was convinced that Mirko Dujaković's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stevan Lezajić was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Bačko Gradište's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Korea the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Bačko Gradište was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoman Brajušković to maneuver through the defense. Mladomir Prodanović took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Milovan Šorgić. Bačko Gradište's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Bačko Gradište getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Radoman Brajušković hit a great ball. Milovan Šorgić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ljuba Radivojević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stevan Lezajić was a little too slow when Želimir Šišić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 29th minute, Manojlo Uzelac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Milijan Mališić fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Korea's protests and gave Milijan Mališić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, one of North Korea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for North Korea. In the 31st minute, the referee gave Bačko Gradište a penalty. Mirko Dujaković looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Stevan Lezajić. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of North Korea:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bačko Gradište:s goal. Mirko Dujaković shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 41st minute Manojlo Uzelac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milovan Šorgić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevan Lezajić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radoman Brajušković in the 42nd minute. Želimir Šišić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevan Lezajić having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mirko Dujaković was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind North Korea's goalkeeper Stevan Lezajić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bačko Gradište's Milovan Šorgić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Bačko Gradište from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Bačko Gradište booed when North Korea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Momir Divljaković didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Mirko Dujaković left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bačko Gradište fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Radoman Brajušković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bačko Gradište's supporters crossed their fingers, but Želimir Šišić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Živadin Paroški might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stevan Lezajić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Živadin Paroški ran back to his position shaking his head. Mirko Dujaković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevan Lezajić having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Bačko Gradište's goal looked a bit too open when Ljuba Radivojević came free, but Milovan Šorgić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mirko Dujaković in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevan Lezajić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in North Korea's zone, Mirko Dujaković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevan Lezajić came out of the goal and Mirko Dujaković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiosav Dragutinović during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st match minute, North Korea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiosav Dragutinović to maneuver through the defense. Radoman Brajušković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevan Lezajić having to interfere. Bačko Gradište's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
