Milija Lalević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mijat Milinković in the 8th minute of the match. Zrno Karadžić's late challenge caught a Barnard Castle FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zrno Karadžić helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stjepan Bibezić in the 19th minute of play forced Ickenham AFC's goalkeeper Milija Lalević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ickenham AFC's Borislav Iliev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Golub Popović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Dragoljub Karadžić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnard Castle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoljub Karadžić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milija Lalević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Žika Zdravković, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Drago Anđelić charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Drago Anđelić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Drago Anđelić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borislav Iliev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Golub Popović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Žika Zdravković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ickenham AFC's Milija Lalević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mijat Milinković in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Stjepan Bibezić scored 0-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milija Lalević, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mijat Milinković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milija Lalević having to interfere. If Draško Bajković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Žika Zdravković could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Milija Lalević made a huge save. Ickenham AFC's Milija Lalević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stjepan Bibezić in the 67th minute of play. Žika Zdravković might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milija Lalević. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Žika Zdravković ran back to his position shaking his head. Žika Zdravković scored 0-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milija Lalević, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th match minute, Ickenham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vukmir Ćuzović to maneuver through the defense. If Draško Bajković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Žika Zdravković got free with Milija Lalević in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Žika Zdravković left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barnard Castle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Žika Zdravković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milija Lalević read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Slavko Kalezić during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Ickenham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slavko Kalezić to maneuver through the defense. Barnard Castle FC played a much better game than Ickenham AFC and deserved their victory. The Ickenham AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
