The referee ignored Sowerby Bridge AFC's protests and gave Ðorđe Vilotić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Sowerby Bridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ðorđe Vilotić to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sowerby Bridge AFC booed when Fowey City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jugoslav Milivojević didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvis Đinđinović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Isak Branković made a huge save. If Bratoljub Praščević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isak Branković made an important save on a dangerous shot by Strahinja Ćetković in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Sowerby Bridge AFC's Sanel Roganović got a free kick in the 36th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvis Đinđinović was the one to do the kick off. Sowerby Bridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvis Đinđinović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Petko Popara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sowerby Bridge AFC's Elvis Đinđinović got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miloš Mladenović in the 71st minute of play forced Sowerby Bridge AFC's goalkeeper Janko Trailović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvis Đinđinović in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isak Branković prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fowey City's goalkeeper Isak Branković, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fowey City's Hakija Vasić got a free kick in the 76th minute. Strahinja Ćetković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vedran Trailović hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sowerby Bridge AFC's attack was well implemented in the 84th minute, but when Elvis Đinđinović was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After some careless play in the Fowey City defense, Bratoljub Praščević kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isak Branković. The Fowey City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isak Branković should have stopped the shot. Bratoljub Praščević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Isak Branković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Sowerby Bridge AFC's goalkeeper Janko Trailović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zijah Desnica. After 96 played minutes Fowey City got a freekick which was hit by Timotije Kovač. When the referee ended the match the Sowerby Bridge AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
