Želimir Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vanja Franić in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Dejan Gavrić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Želimir Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Želimir Simović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dejan Gavrić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dejan Gavrić came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the AC Milan fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Ashwell booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoman Stojadinović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ashwell's Želimir Simović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dejan Gavrić in the 46th minute of play. Dejan Gavrić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Želimir Simović having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Smajo Vukotić to make the kick off. If Vanja Franić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomo Zloković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rašo Popara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Smajo Vukotić in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Tomo Zloković came free, but Rašo Popara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, AC Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoman Stojadinović to maneuver through the defense. Vanja Franić charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vanja Franić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Vanja Franić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dejan Gavrić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Želimir Simović made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Dejan Gavrić sent off a good shot on target. When AC Milan's Vanja Franić in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ashwell's goalie prevented a goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
