Harleston's Ramo Spajić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Harleston from getting a goal against them. Rochdale City's Petko Milunović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Šaćir Rakić in the 21st minute of play. Aco Mudreša fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petko Milunović having to interfere. Šaćir Rakić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petko Milunović having to make a save. After 36 minutes, Feđa Sekulić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rochdale City and the Harleston players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute Leo Arsenijević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramo Spajić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Budisav Gegić in the 82nd minute of play forced Harleston's goalkeeper Ramo Spajić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rochdale City's goalkeeper Petko Milunović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Šaćir Rakić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aco Mudreša recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match Sreten Ćurčić shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petko Milunović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aco Mudreša fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petko Milunović having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Harleston's Ljubiša Kovačević sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petko Milunović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Harleston walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
