Čedomir Gogić started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Harvard University defense, Milutin Krajinović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Muhamed Borilović. The Harvard University fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Muhamed Borilović should have stopped the shot. If Roman Škrijelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arso Filipović made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Vanja Medić sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes of play, Countesthorpe FC's Čedomir Gogić made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Muhamed Borilović was left in no man's land by his defense there! Milutin Krajinović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Muhamed Borilović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Countesthorpe FC's Čedomir Gogić got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harvard University's Muhamed Borilović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milutin Krajinović in the 33rd minute of play. Muhamed Borilović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milutin Krajinović's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Vanja Medić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arso Filipović having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Vanja Medić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harvard University fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Milutin Krajinović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Muhamed Borilović having to make a save. After the first half Countesthorpe FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Luka Uskoković made the kick off in the second half. Milutin Krajinović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Muhamed Borilović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Vanja Medić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Arso Filipović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Harvard University:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Countesthorpe FC:s goal. In the 75th match minute, Harvard University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarija Mirjanić to maneuver through the defense. Čedomir Gogić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rade Bulajić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Muhamed Borilović made a huge save. Luka Uskoković took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arso Filipović. Arso Filipović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Countesthorpe FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
