Radivoj Vasković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Radivoj Vasković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Radivoj Vasković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bay of Kotor's supporters rose to their feet, but Radivoj Vasković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ćiro Bogdanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ćiro Bogdanović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radivoj Vasković in the 14th minute of play. Radivoj Vasković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasmin Raković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragoslav Šaletić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragoslav Šaletić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jasmin Raković having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Radivoj Vasković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bay of Kotor's supporters rose to their feet, but Radivoj Vasković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ćiro Bogdanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radivoj Vasković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ćiro Bogdanović having to interfere. If Radivoj Vasković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bay of Kotor booed when Cleethorpes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gula Terzić didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dragoslav Šaletić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radivoj Vasković to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bay of Kotor's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoslav Šaletić came free, but Jasmin Raković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Dragoslav Šaletić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radivoj Vasković could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ćiro Bogdanović made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Cleethorpes's zone, Radivoj Vasković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ćiro Bogdanović came out of the goal and Radivoj Vasković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jasmin Raković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodoljub Katić, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With an all-out effort, Bay of Kotor's Ćiro Bogdanović threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nenad Pejić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Radivoj Vasković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ćiro Bogdanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Nenad Pejić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bay of Kotor and the Cleethorpes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bay of Kotor getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nenad Pejić hit a great ball. Rodoljub Katić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cleethorpes's Ćiro Bogdanović got control of the ball when Radivoj Vasković tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cvijan Lalić was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cleethorpes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Bay of Kotor. Željko Mitrašinović stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ćiro Bogdanović. 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bay of Kotor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
