After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl Utd's zone, Gwyn Culpepper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ieuan Jamison came out of the goal and Gwyn Culpepper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gorsedd Finnegan succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Rhuvawn Dungan's late challenge caught a Porthcawl Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rhuvawn Dungan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bridgend FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rhuvawn Dungan hit a great ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Owein Crocker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porthcawl Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Owein Crocker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perceval Jolson in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwres Fergus saved Bridgend FC from getting behind. Gerallt Blackburn scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gwres Fergus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arianwyn Cornell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Perceval Jolson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porthcawl Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perceval Jolson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gerallt Blackburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barri Bernard lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Porthcawl Utd. Owein Crocker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gwres Fergus. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerallt Blackburn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gorsedd Finnegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lludd Lea during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Lludd Lea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ieuan Jamison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorsedd Finnegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerallt Blackburn in the 69th minute of play forced Bridgend FC's goalkeeper Gwres Fergus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perceval Jolson struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gwres Fergus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porthcawl Utd. 73 minutes into the match, Bridgend FC's goal looked a bit too open when Greid Brin came free, but Gwres Fergus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pawl Luther fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bridgend FC's protests and gave Pawl Luther a yellow card for diving instead. Pawl Luther kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bridgend FC's Gwres Fergus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Bridgend FC from getting a goal against them. Perceval Jolson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Gwres Fergus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bridgend FC's Pawl Luther got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Perceval Jolson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gorsedd Finnegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerallt Blackburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gwres Fergus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Porthcawl Utd's Perceval Jolson got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gwres Fergus came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Porthcawl Utd's Perceval Jolson. But to his dismay, Perceval Jolson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
