Padrig Bowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ieuan Jamison having to interfere. 30 minutes in the game, Rhain Farrelly dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ieuan Jamison was a little too slow when Padrig Bowie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, Newport FC's Gruddyeu Bruce got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 45th minute, Padrig Bowie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Porthcawl Utd's Ieuan Jamison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhain Farrelly in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rhain Farrelly stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Porthcawl Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rhain Farrelly came free, but Ieuan Jamison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Padrig Bowie put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ieuan Jamison.
