The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talgarth. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 8 played minutes, when Porthcawl Utd:s Owein Crocker calmly waited for Talgarth:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Gerallt Blackburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwydre Finlay having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Talgarth's zone, Perceval Jolson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwydre Finlay came out of the goal and Perceval Jolson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl Utd's zone, Accalon Hoag stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ieuan Jamison came out of the goal and Accalon Hoag tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porthcawl Utd's Ieuan Jamison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olwydd Gehan in the 34th minute of play. Ieuan Jamison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olwydd Gehan in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greid Brin during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute of the match Gwallter Flannery shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ieuan Jamison showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olwydd Gehan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Accalon Hoag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lludd Lea during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Porthcawl Utd got a freekick which was hit by Lludd Lea. Accalon Hoag blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ieuan Jamison having to make a save. When Talgarth's Olwydd Gehan in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Porthcawl Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Ieuan Jamison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olwydd Gehan's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Accalon Hoag sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ieuan Jamison skillfully saved the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Arianwyn Cornell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwydre Finlay. Talgarth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arianwyn Cornell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Porthcawl Utd booed when Talgarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cadwallen Gilfin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perceval Jolson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gwydre Finlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Porthcawl Utd's Gerallt Blackburn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gwydre Finlay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olwydd Gehan might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ieuan Jamison. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olwydd Gehan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Accalon Hoag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ieuan Jamison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olwydd Gehan in the 89th minute of the match. Nissyen Cash charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nissyen Cash the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nissyen Cash hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the game, Perceval Jolson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gwydre Finlay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Talgarth's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
