Cairn Elkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Kilydd Harris made a huge save. Kilydd Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwawl Knollys in the 10th minute of play. Tristram Copp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ieuan Farthing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caerleon FC's Gwawl Knollys got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cardigan FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gormant Helwick hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Ieuan Farthing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Gormant Helwick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caerleon FC's Tristram Copp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Gormant Helwick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute of the match Garnock Teamster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tristram Copp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ieuan Farthing scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tristram Copp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kilydd Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwawl Knollys in the 38th minute of the match. When Ardwyad Brent fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caerleon FC's protests and gave Ardwyad Brent a yellow card for diving instead. Iolo Lattimore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tristram Copp. Caerleon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 41 played minutes Caerleon FC got a freekick which was hit by Ardwyad Brent. The Caerleon FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cardigan FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwawl Knollys made a kick off. Gwitart Chesterfield kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwawl Knollys in the 67th minute of play forced Cardigan FC's goalkeeper Kilydd Harris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cardigan FC's zone, Cairn Elkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kilydd Harris came out of the goal and Cairn Elkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Caerleon FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ardwyad Brent hit a great ball. Ieuan Farthing struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Tristram Copp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardigan FC. In the 77th minute, Cairn Elkins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caerleon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 83 minutes of play, Caerleon FC's Gwawl Knollys made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kilydd Harris was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gwawl Knollys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
