An unexpectedly hard shot by Gormant Helwick in the 6th minute of play forced Barry's goalkeeper Garwyli Dawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ieuan Farthing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garwyli Dawson having to interfere. Kilydd Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nentres Blake, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gwitart Chesterfield kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes in the game, Nentres Blake fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kilydd Harris having to interfere. Inek Kemple kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Kilydd Harris was a little too slow when Nentres Blake got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwitart Chesterfield during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cardigan FC's Gwitart Chesterfield got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Gwyglet Bignall hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Gormant Helwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nentres Blake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kilydd Harris having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Cardigan FC's Gormant Helwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garwyli Dawson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Pryderi Jenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gormant Helwick to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Pryderi Jenkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barry's supporters rose to their feet, but Pryderi Jenkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kilydd Harris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nentres Blake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nentres Blake might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kilydd Harris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nentres Blake ran back to his position shaking his head. Gwyglet Bignall kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Ieuan Farthing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Nentres Blake who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardigan FC's Kilydd Harris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ieuan Farthing fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardigan FC's protests and gave Ieuan Farthing a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cardigan FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ieuan Farthing hit a great ball. Nentres Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Kilydd Harris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cardigan FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barry.
